Abstract:
A design and evaluation of a whole stick sugarcane trash remove system
by oscillating cylinders with differential angular velocity is described. A single variety of
sugarcane is used during the evaluation testes, where the damage to the stoke and gemma,
and the percentage of leaves removed as a function of the angular velocity of the
cylinders and springs initial load. The results showed that the leaves removal as
successful with a efficiency up to 82.5% with out any significant damage to the stoke.
