Resumen:
The water content effect applied pressure were analyzed on “Terra Roxa
Estruturada”, on classes of aggregates of 0 to 2.5 mm; 2.5 to 5.1 mm; 5.1 to 9.4 mm and 9.4
to 19.3 mm. There has been used water content rates of 20%, 24.5%, 29% and 30.5%. The
water content rate of 29% ± 5% is the corresponding water content in the maximum
compaction in Proctor’s trial. Soil density of massives formed through the compaction of
the aggregates have been evaluated. The experiment has been conducted in laboratory
conditions with uniaxial compression test and a hydraulic cylinder press, loading 50 kN,
precision 0.03% were operated. Data have been registered by an analogical / digital
converter CAD12/32-24. The system has been connected to a AT 386 microcomputer to
store and processing data. For all sizes of aggregates the soil density increased with the
applied pressure as well as water content. The most variations have been occurred at initial
pressures.
