The computation of the densities of the nuclides by perturbation theory is discussed, for a nuclear reactor operating at constant power during its cycle. In this calculation, it is common to disregard the second-order terms with the substitution of the neutron flux at time t, unknown, by the time flow t0. To include second-order terms, a perturbation formula is derived with iterative technique for calculating the flow. The perturbation formulas applied in calculations of a thermal reactor provide results that agree with the direct calculation.
