Resumo:
A mathematical model was implemented to simulate the performance of
the rubber-tracked tractors. In this model, the power transmission system was simulated
including sub-models for the engine, gear box, differential system, hydraulics steering
system and interface soil/tracks. Field tests, by using a Challenger 75 tractor made by
Caterpillar, were done to validate the implemented model. Comparing the simulated
results to the experimental data it was concluded that the model predicted well the torque
and speed of different components of the power transmission system of the tractor.
