Abstract

This paper shows the application of the value analysis methodology on the redesign of a potato digging. In order to apply this methodology there has been created a project team with professionals from different areas of knowledge. This kind of team is certainly one of the factors that determines that this methodology is not so much used by industries in order to get a new product. The results of this paper indicate that it is possible to use this methodology on the redesign of machines and agricultural equipments. It is considered an important means to develop products that could better support the market needs that is very competitive today.
