Abstract

The disposal of sewage sludge produced in wastewater treatment is a very serious problem to environment. Due to the presence of pathogen microrganisms in the sludge, this residue can not be used for alternative applications. The aim of this study was to establish the best technique to concentrate these pathogen microrganisms in the sludge, trying to achieve high recovery index to make possible the agricultural use of the sewage sludge.
