Aplicação de sistema de informações geográficas no monitoramento da vegetação nativa em bacia hidrográfica.

Abstract

The main goal of this work is to verify the native vegetation (forest lands and rangelands) occurrence in the Lavapés river basin, Botucatu, São Paulo State, specially with the respect to the erosion risk areas, through the Geographical Information Systems IDRISI. It was observed that the headwaters, which correspond the part of the relieve with highest potential erosion, present only 4,83% of the ideal area of native vegetation protected by Law.
