Abstract:
This article aims to report the importance of the Supervised Curricular Internship at the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG), for the training of Geography degree students. The practices experienced during internships were very important for the process of adapting to distance activities with the use of new technologies for teaching and face-to-face activities, as they helped the student-intern to apply their theoretical knowledge to school practice. The work is the result of four internships in two different schools, in periods of distance classes caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and periods of in-person classes. The text seeks to present the importance that the internship has in the development of a teacher, as the internship is not an end, but the beginning of a journey of learning and adaptations in order to follow advances and overcome the difficulties that arise in the path. It is observed that new technologies in teaching have factors that must be taken into consideration. As a positive factor we highlight: the practicality of sharing content, whether remotely or in the classroom, and the possibility of doing everything from the comfort of home, and as a negative the facts: the teacher's difficulty in monitoring student participation and the poor quality connection.
