Abstract:
This research was conducted within the scope of Geography Teaching and Human
and Social Sciences and is part of the research line of Rural Education and teachinglearning processes. In this sense, this research aims to present the perceptions of
Geography and Human and Social Sciences teachers from the municipality of Sumé-
PB regarding the pedagogical relationship of cordel literature with their teaching
practices, as well as how cordel can contribute to the teaching-learning process of
students in the classroom. This qualitative research utilized a structured questionnaire
with 10 questions, created on the Google Forms platform, and shared via a link to the
questionnaire through the WhatsApp application. The data obtained from this research
were subjected to descriptive and interpretative analysis through tables with answers
discussed interpretatively. We found that cordel literature has great potential to be used
as a methodological strategy in the teaching-learning process, offering a range of
possibilities to be explored.
