Resumen:
The accumulation of urban waste is a habit exclusive to human societies. The
practice and research of new technologies and strategies for the disposal, recovery
and recycling of waste are a necessity of extreme importance and of public interest,
considering that natural resources are becoming increasingly limited. The objective of
the study was to evaluate the viability of the production of ecological packaging for
agroindustry’s using residues derived from maize and red rice. The method of
acquiring the wood pulp is prior to the manufacture of paper and is generally defined
as pulping. This process has the purpose of dissolving the lignin in an alkaline pH
liquor, above 12, but preserving most of the cellulose and hemicellulose. Due to its
high strength and strength, Kraft paper is widely used in the industry, its versatility
allows it to be used in many types of products. With this, Kraft pulp paper was
obtained that demonstrated in its properties strengths and malleability for application
in the agroindustry sector. Finally, the packaging prototype produced satisfactory
results and can be used in the agroindustry sector because it has the expected
volume and thickness, resistance and protection of the material packed during
transportation as well as storage and ease of handling.
