Resumen:
This work analyzes the process of emergence
of new social actors and the conflicts of their
action on the local political power in Nova
Floresta-PB. It deals, therefore, with the
historical reconstitution of the appearing of new
social groups under the impacts of the process of
democratization of the Brazilian society in a local level, specifically, in a small town in the
country side Paraibano. The impasses, limits and
possibilities of collective action of these groups
are analyzed under the light of the local political culture.
