Résumé:
Gestational toxoplasmosis is an infection that poses significant risks to the health of the
pregnant woman and the fetus, making it essential to disseminate appropriate information on
prevention and treatment. The aim of this study was to create an educational podcast focused
on promoting health literacy in relation to toxoplasmosis during pregnancy. The type of
research adopted was a methodological study, which aimed to build a season of an
educational podcast based on health literacy about gestational toxoplasmosis. This work stems
from a research project entitled “Creation of the Maternar Podcast”. The methodology
involves defining the target audience, choosing the podcast format and making the episodes.
Initially, two scripts were drawn up on the proposed theme, to which the professionals
interviewed would respond. After this, the stages of readability analysis and adaptations were
carried out, taking into account good health literacy practices. The results showed that,
initially, the scripts had readability rates considered difficult for the target audience, according
to the Flesch index, the values were 17.72% and 41.37% respectively. After implementing
good health literacy practices, such as replacing complex terms and restructuring sentences,
the content reached the expected readability, which was 57.77% and 58.03%, classified as
easy for readers with between 6th and 9th grade education. It was concluded that by
producing scripts with a level of comprehension accessible to the audience for which the
episodes are intended, the population will find it easier to understand the information, which
will enhance the use of this knowledge in caring for their own health and the health of others.
