Résumé:
The work presented here is the result of research carried out in the Professional Master’s in Sociology Teaching (PROFSOCIO-UFCG), through the implementation of a pedagogical intervention through field classes in the Cebola production cycle around the Epitácio Pessoa Dam – Boqueirão – PB, with the theme “Work and Environment” at the Escola Estadual Cidadã Integral Técnica Conselheiro José Braz do Rêgo in the city of Boqueirão-PB. The field classes has been presented as an important tool to facilitate learning in Sociology teaching and overcome the gaps left by traditional teaching practices. Therefore, this intervention aims to develop and carry out a field class in the teaching of Sociology to address the theme “Work” with students in the 11th grade. For this research we used the theoretical assumptions of qualitative research, reports produced by students from field notebooks were also used as a means of data collection. We still use the collection of information through the electronic form with students, aiming to understand the situation of the School and the sociocultural reality of the students. During the research, we verified that the field class, correctly based on the teaching of Sociology, can bring important elements for meaningful learning in basic education classes. As for the choice of the theme “Work”, addressed in the intervention, it proved to be appropriate for the field class and its relationship with the objects of knowledge of Sociology in the 11th grade.
