Resumo:
The Curricular References of Paraíba are a guiding item for the educational
guidelines, which are being applied in public and private schools in the State with
regard to New Secondary Education. The document was established in 2021 and
put into practice in 2022, having been drawn up in the context of the latest national
curricular reforms. Therefore, in this research we aimed to analyze how
Geography is prescribed in the Curricular References of Paraíba for High School,
characterize school Geography in high school based on neoliberal curricular
changes, describe the Curricular References of Paraíba for High School, as also
analyze the Geography in that Document. As a theoretical basis, we used
authors, namely: Albuquerque (2011), Apple (1982), Cellard (2008), Goodson
(1999), Moreira (2009). As a methodological procedure, we used documentary
research, supported by the analysis and systematization of source information,
that is, the Paraíba Curricular References for High School. We can conclude that
this Document does not account for the implementation of the proposals included
there for Geography, both from a conceptual theoretical point of view and from
the linked reading for the graduating student.
