Abstract:
One of the great problems of the industries is the treatment of its effluent ones before
pouring them in the environment. A part of these effluent ones is constituted of emulsions
of oil and water. The petroliferous industry if detaches among them, by the fact of the
organic products proceeding from the oil to be sufficiently harmful and its discarding alone
it can be made inside of determined specifications regulated for the CONAMA that limits
the text of oils and greases in effluent in 20 mg/l. Therefore, one becomes necessary to
effect a treatment of these effluent ones. Different processes of separation óleo/água are
applied by the industry of the oil, amongst which if high capacity of processing detaches
hidrociclone in virtue of its, for practically not requiring no maintenance and the low time
of residence of the fluid. In this direction, this objective work to evaluate the influence of
the intensity to turbilhonar on the efficiency of separation in one hidrociclone, as well as for
in evidence the anti-symmetrical and three-dimensional character of the draining
turbilhonar induced for a tangential entrance of square shaped section in this device. The
numerical results obtained with aid of the commercial package CFX 4.4 showed that the
gross efficiency of detachment depends on the intensity turbilhonar prompted by the
entrance tangencial and pressure in the seção straight of the duto of food. This dependence showed to be more accentuated for values of the number of Reynolds between 150 and 1800. Already for superior values the 1800, this dependence is small in function of the intensity to turbilhonar and constant with the feeding pressure. The results of the analyses hydrodynamics of hidrociclone had confirmed the anti-symmetrical and three-dimensional character which the draining of the fluid is submitted in this type of device.
