Resumo:
He inclusion of Sociology in Brazilian curriculum began at the end of the 19th
century and was consolidated in basic education during the 20th century. With
redemocratization and the Constitution of 1988, his return to secondary education
was reinforced by the Law of Guidelines and Bases of National Education (LDB) of
1996. The mandatory nature of the subject was established by Law 11,684/2008,
which required the inclusion of Sociology in high school curricula, highlighting the
importance of appropriate classes and qualified teachers. This research proposes
the creation of the "First Week of Humanities", a pedagogical intervention project
that aims to boost the teaching of Sociology and promote the continuous training of
teachers. Furthermore, the project aims to broaden students' perspectives,
exploring relevant social and political issues, such as gender and Brazilian culture.
The development of this pedagogical intervention project is based on the need for
more dynamic teaching methodologies and interdisciplinarity in the teaching of
Sociology, as the OCN's guidelines emphasize as ways of boosting pedagogical
practice at school. Although there is an increase in the number of studies on
Sociology teaching, there is still a lack of research focused on teacher training and
pedagogical intervention as a resource for social and cultural training.
