Résumé:
The packages of corrugated paperboard have been raising its participation in the
packages’ market, especially to pack the horticultural products for export and also, more recently, in
the internal market. The estimate of the resistance to the compression of those packages was
accomplished in the last years with the employment of semi-empiric equations which have limitations
cause they were obtained starting from the analysis of forty packages of the same wave type. This
study used a program of finite elements called Ansys to estimate the resistance to the compression of a
packing starting from the analysis of buckling of its plates and compared the obtained results with
experimental values and obtained by analytic and semi-empiric equations values. It was noticed that
the resistance to the compression of structures, as the packages of corrugated paperboard, can be
estimate with good approach degree with the method of the finite elements. In this work was used two
ways of modeling. The one that was shown more appropriate is named sandwich and was compared
with other denominated idealized.
