Resumo:
One of the segments that have presented an important growth in recent years is of feed
manufacture for animals, that comes stimulating the entrance of new companies in the sector and the
use of systems of quality management. The tool Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) has been
recommended to guarantee the conformity and feed safety for the animal, the human being and the
environment. Part of the objectives of a Thesis in development in the College of Agricultural
Engineering of the UNICAMP is to provide to the organizations of the feed sector mechanisms for
implantation of Good Manufacturing Practices, in order to take care of the Normative Instruction in 1
of the Ministry of Agriculture, Cattle and Supplying and the recommendations of the GMP Manual for
Establishments of Products for Animal Feeding, published in 2005. In this direction, it is being
developed a data base with 6 modules, to facilitate the auto-evaluation and external audits of GMP in
establishments of products for animal feeding. The objective of this article is to present the
preliminary version of this data base, as a diagnosis mechanism, that will allow to evaluate the GMP
implantation level and/or to carry through internal audit, contributing for the improvement of the
management and the food safety.
