Resumo:
Labor in livestock buildings are exposed to a thermal discomfort and some can develop
fatigue, other negative effect on health and risk of accident at work. Information about thermal
discomfort on the workers in swine system confinement production is rare in tropical regions. This
research was carried out with the objective to evaluate the thermal comfort and estimate the
occupational risk exposition the workers at commercial swine production facilities. The statistical
analysis was done using factorial design and mean test. The IBUTG were less than recommended by
NR15 to welfare workers. The effective temperature register used to analyze thermal comfort was
Thom’s were less of the limits allowed, between 18.9 e 25.6oC.
