Resumo:
In intention to verify the influence of climatization in the shed on reared ambient
condition and performance of broiler chickens. The present study was developed, using 1000 one-day
old broilers of two commercial lines (308 Ross and Cobb 500), which were reared in two experimental
sheds. The birds have been reared without separation of sex, in 20 boxes (five/lines/shed), in the
density of 50 birds for box. Food and water have been offered ad libitum during all the period, that
extended up to 42 days of age. Any type of equipment was used for climatization in the internal
environment of one of the sheds, while in the other fans and a cooling system for climatization had
been installed. During all the period of creation, temperature and relative humidity have been
registered in the interior of the sheds for evaluation of the enthalpy of the internal microclimate of the
sheds. At the end of the 42 days 25 birds of each line was picked up randomly (five birds/box), from
each shed for evaluation of the body weight. After that, the birds had been slaughtered for calculation
of the carcass yield. As result it could be observed different answers in bird’s lines in function of the
used environment of creation, so the conditions of creation of the non-climatized shed had been
considered inadequate in comparison with the conditions of the climatized shed.
