Predição de cio em vacas leiteiras utilizando lógica fuzzy.

dc.description.resumo	O objetivo deste trabalho foi desenvolver um algoritmo utilizando a teoria dos conjuntos fuzzy para a predição de cio em vacas leiteiras. Para tanto, utilizaram-se três variáveis de entrada: a) comportamento das vacas leiteiras (montar em outras vacas, presença de corrimento límpido e cristalino, vulva edemaciada, micção freqüente e inquietação); b) período de tentativa de monta; e c) período após o último cio e, como variável de saída, utilizou-se à taxa de detecção de cio. A análise foi realizada no ambiente computacional MATLAB 6.5. Os resultados mostraram que a lógica fuzzy é uma tecnologia promissora na predição de cio em vacas leiteiras, podendo auxiliar o técnico ou pecuarista na tomada de decisão relacionada à inseminação dos animais.	pt_BR

dc.description.abstract	The present investigation aimed to develop an algorithm using the fuzzy sets to predict the estrous in dairy cows. For that three input variables were used: a) dairy cows’ behavior (mounting other cows, mucous discharge from the vulva, swelling and reddening of the vulva, frequent urine and restless); b) attempting to mount other cows e c) period since last oestrus and, as the output variable, the estrous detection rate was used. The analysis was made using the MATLAB 6.5 toolbox. The results showed that the fuzzy logic is a promising technology to predict the estrous detection in dairy cows, and could help the technician and cattle farmer in the decision making related to the insemination of the animals.	pt_BR
