Abstract:
It was evaluated the inside environments of shelters for protected cultivation, covered with
polyethylene fillms of different characteristics, which were compared to the open field condition, at São
Miguel (SP), from april, 29th to july, 5th of 2005. It was obtained the maxima, minima and average values
air temperature and relative humidity, as well as the daily total radiant flux density and daily total PAR
radiation, in each environment. Sensible microclimatic changes were observed inside the shelters, with an
increase in the air temperatures and a decrease in the daily total radiant flux density and daily total PAR
radiation, when related to the open field, but no relevant changes in air relative humidity were verified.
