Resumo:
The intensification of the systems of animal production suggests that the future
of the production is not increasing amount of animals, but in the productivity indexes
increasing. In this sense, the facilities that compose the finishing intensive systems of beef
cattle have great influence in the animal performance. Therefore, there is the need of study of
methods with scientific base in the architectural projects, eliminating subjective and/or
intuitive forms in the decisions. Through diagnoses of the current situation of finishing
intensive systems of beef cattle in productive units of the North of Minas Gerais State, it was
identified the main problems in each unit, classifying each one using the study of activities
and facilities flows. For the analysis of data, SLP (Systematic Layout Planning) was used, in
the elaboration conventions for identification, visualization and classification of activities and
constituent interrelations of the finishing intensive system of beef cattle.
