This paper presents a Portable Programmer Module (MPP) for numerical control industrial machines, where it is used as an example of a typical industrial food packaging machine in the form of powder, controlled by an INTEL 8085 microprocessor. The programming interface of the industrial machine and consists of a set of LED dials, a set of digital keys and a set of buttons. The function of the MPP is to program the industrial machine, emulating the functions of the control panel through a communication interface with the machine. 0 MPP has an architecture similar to that of a computer, being based on the 68HC11 microcontroller from Motorola. The MPP has a human-machine interface composed of a matrix numerical keyboard, an LCD module, an interface for serial communication and an interface for communication with the industrial machine. MPP programming is performed using a numeric keypad, which selects the options available in your management program. The management program has several functions selected through hierarchically arranged menus. The MPP has a serial interface for communication with an IBM PC computer, whose function is to perform the programming of the machine in the same way as done in MPP, and to store this programming in mass memory. With this and possible to have stored in a set of files to disk, the programming referring to several types of products processed by the machine. The criteria regarding the choice of a microcontroller as a control unit, as well as criteria that led to the choice of the various MPP interfaces are presented and discussed. It also shows the functions available in the control program. MPP and the tests performed to verify its validation. Several ways forward are suggested to continue the work, aiming to improve the characteristics available in the MPP.
