Abstract:
This work presents a new method for the compensation of the sin x/x distortion which is inherent to
signal conversions from digital or sampled-data waveforms to continuous-time waveforms. The new method
iteratively adjusts the poles Q factors of the original transfer function of the system in order to minimize the
passband error due to the signal conversion. The algorithm proposed is naturally convergent and requires very
little computational effort. Examples are presented to illustrate the applicability and the efficiency of the
proposed technique.
