Résumé:
The general objective of this work is to analyze how the challenges of educational
technologies can be overcome in order to enhance their use in promoting inclusive
education in public elementary schools. The specific objectives are: to conduct a
systematic review on the concept and practices of inclusive education; to explore the
potential and applications of educational technologies in educational processes; to
identify the main difficulties faced by public schools in using technologies for inclusive
education; and to demonstrate how the use of technologies can contribute to
promoting inclusion through pedagogical actions. To achieve this, the research
question is: how can the challenges of educational technologies be addressed,
considering their potential, to promote inclusive education in public elementary
schools? The methodology initially consisted of an exploratory study and a literature
review. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interview guides,
applied to elementary school teachers and the principal of a municipal school, with
questions addressing their professional profiles and focusing on the study’s subject
matter. The analysis of the results highlighted how these technologies not only
expand learning opportunities but also foster a more accessible and adaptive
environment for all students, including those with specific educational needs. The
study emphasizes that while educational technologies promote inclusion, significant
challenges remain due to the lack of teacher training and resources in schools. It
expanded the understanding of the importance of these tools in inclusive education
but revealed the urgent need for more effective public policies to ensure proper
access. Moreover, the interviews showed that teachers' efforts are limited by the lack
of technical support and ongoing training, both from the schools and the Municipal
Department of Education.
