Resumo:
The main objective of this thesis is to develop a
technique for optimizing the parameters of a measuring systern for high impulse voltages using a resistive divider.
The parameters considered in this sense are: the shielding
electrode geometry, the damping resistances, and the resistance of the low voltage arm.
A new technique for optimizing a measuring system
for high impulse vo.ltage is developed in using an equivalent circuit model of a resistive voltage divider. This
technique has been applied to obtain the optimum parameters-
values of a measuring system for 1MV impulses. The
optimum response and the step-response of the measuring
system have been calculated.
Using the optimum parameters-values a resistive
voltage divider was constructed. The step-response of the
measuring system and the response time were obtained. The
measured response time less than 20ns.
