Resumo:
Starting from a physical analysis of the process of water infiltration in the soil,
alternatives were proposed to adapt the entrance parameters of the model of Green-Ampt-Mein-Larson
(GAML). The adaptations consisted in: to substitute the parameters hydraulic conductivity of the
saturated soil (K0) by the stable LQILOWUDWLRQ UDWH 7LH DQG WKH ZDWHU FRQWHQW RI WKH VDWXUDWHG VRLO s) by
WKH ZDWHU FRQWHQW LQ WKH WUDQVPLVVLRQ ]RQH w); and to propose an equation to estimate the matric
potential LQ WKH ZHWWLQJ IURQW %f) based on the hydraulic conductivity, related to the water contents at
the beginning of the infiltration and of the transmission zone, and in the parameters of the Brooks &
Corey model. The acting of this adaptation was evaluated, being compared the results of its
application in the model GAML with those obtained with the parameters in the form original and other
five different adaptation forms. It was evidenced that the adaptation proposed was able to provide
better estimates of the infiltration, being recommended for application in the estimate of infiltration of
water in the soil.
