Resumo:
This work is a research that has as its subject of study the contributions of music to
learning in Early Childhood Education. Therefore, I seek to investigate the following
study problem: How do Early Childhood Education teachers work with music in the
reference room as a didactic-pedagogical instrument? The general objective of this
work is to analyze the contributions of music to the children's learning process at
school. The specific objectives are: Point out the ways in which music can contribute
to children's learning by working in a didactic-pedagogical way; Highlight the
perceptions and work of teachers in relation to the use of music in Early Childhood
Education; Describe the way teachers work with music in Early Childhood Education.
The theoretical framework of the research was built based on the ideas of authors who
discuss the topic studied, such as: Firmino and Ribeiro (2022), Godoi (2011), Silva
et.al. (2022), Lima and Sant’Anna (2015). As for the methodology adopted, it is
characterized as qualitative and exploratory in nature. The instrument adopted for data
collection was a structured interview, with open and closed questions, aimed at four
teachers who teach at a public Early Childhood Education institution in the city of
Pombal-PB, located in the high backlands of Paraíba. Data analysis showed that the
four teachers participating in the research have intensely positive perceptions about
the use of music in early childhood education and use it as a playful tool and facilitator
of the children's learning process, being a resource that facilitates children's learning
and promotes a more pleasurable experience in the reference room, providing
numerous contributions to children's development in terms of cognition, socialization,
affection and playfulness.
