The study of spatial dependence of hydrologic variables related to groundwater has a
great importance for an efficient management of the water resources. The water must be managed in
order to ensure the preservation of its quality, and the maintenance of the supply. In face of the
relevance of groundwater in alluvial valleys in the northeast semi-arid region of Brazil, it is of utmost
importance its systematic monitoring of salinity and groundwater level. The present work analyzes the
existence of spatial dependence of the groundwater electrical conductivity. It has been verified that
this dependence presents similar behavior throughout different climate conditions, for the period from
December 2004 to November 2005.
