Abstract:
Several studies and facts point to a possible global water crisis, caused by water scarcity, promoted by climate change, supply of water sources, waste and misuse. Dissatisfied with the current management of water resources, this work focuses on developing an electronic system for monitoring water consumption, which allows for greater control over expenditures and indicates possible failures. For the development of the system, it uses: a WIFI Nodemcu board, ultrasonic and flow sensors, and logic level modules and power supply. The logical part was developed using C ++, PHP, Delphi and MySQL database technologies. The system works with the WIFI Nodemcu board, processing sensor readings installed in the reservoirs of interest and later sending this data to a page from the web via local internet network, where connection and saving routines with the database are performed. Once saved, the data is provided in a graphical interface and can be consulted at any time. To test the functioning of the system, it was installed in a residence, for a period of two weeks, where no leaks were detected and 3.24 m 3 of water were consumed. The proposed system has shown stability in reading and sending data, it only depends on the quality of the internet service. Work in the area proves that a device of this nature can be essential for detecting possible leaks, thus combating waste. The system can also contribute to the understanding of the consumption profile of a given environment, enabling the taking of measures that contribute to a more conscious and efficient use of water at a lesser time.
