Résumé:
After the suspension of face to face classes due to the pandemic of COVID-19, education in the e-learning modality for the population in prison through the special education regime was put into effect. The current writing aims to understand the didactic-methodological strategies in the remote teaching of chemistry in the prison system. The research was grounded and structured through reflective, objective and subjective questioning, directed to the students of the E. E. F. M. Ariano Vilar Suassuna in the Public Prison of the city of São João do Rio do Peixe-PB, in two stages, firstly about the classroom category of teaching and later the remote modality adopted for the inmates. The information presented a preference for visual experiences in teaching, highlighting a positive point for face-to-face classes and negative for the remote modality. About other possibilities for teaching, the students point out that facing the current situation, teaching in special regime stands out as the only possible way in the units, highlighting the dissatisfaction in learning, among other analyses. Reflections on feasible educational activities for the study of chemistry were pointed out. The experience in prison has its implications on the development of individuals, and there is only one path to resocialization, the education that encourages, welcomes and frees.
