Abstract:
Negative anthropic actions are one of the problems that have affected the environment, bringing among the numerous effects to water bodies, which in consequence end up harming the quality of water used for various purposes. However, one of the ways to mitigate these impacts is through environmental education, which brings with it an interdisciplinary approach with the various areas of knowledge, with greater emphasis on Chemistry. Thus, the objective was to register the anthropic actions observed on the Rio Salgado in the perimeter of the city of Lavras da Mangabeira CE, relating the issue with contents covered in Chemistry Teaching (EQ) in basic education. As a methodological path, three distinct points of the Rio Salgado were selected to carry out photographic records of anthropic actions and application of a checklist as an observation tool. The points corresponded to sectors before the urban perimeter of Lavras da Mangabeira (A), during the urban perimeter (B) and after the urban perimeter (C). Then, and a proposal for an Environmental Chemistry class was elaborated, relating to the problem in question, taking into account the skills and abilities available in the BNCC and the importance of investigative experimentation, with this, it was possible to identify different anthropic actions on the Rio Salgado, with emphasis on sector B in which it presented greater evidence of pollution. In addition, it was possible to propose a class that would relate anthropic actions to the teaching of Chemistry, through the determination of the pH of different samples of water from the Rio Salgado and subsequent discussion of the results obtained, thus allowing to address evident anthropic actions on the source.
