Resumen:
To identify predominant classes of irrigated water used in Distrito de Irrigação do Baixo
Acaraú, Ceará, Brazil, a work was carried out using Piper Diagram. Water samples were collected,
monthly, from Apr/2003 to Dec/2005, except Jun and each to month from Jan/2004 to Sept/2005 at Santa
Rosa aqueduct (point of water supply to irrigated district). Samples were stored in polypropylene bottles
and sent to Soil and Water Laboratory - Embrapa/CNPAT to be analyze physical-chemical parameters.
Results showed up that water was classified as bicarbonatada sódica and cloretada sodica. The first one
predominated the second one.
