Résumé:
The present work had for objective to evaluate the differences after the activity of tin
mining in an area of Amazon forest. The samples were collected, superficially, in area of tin mining
in the National Forest of Jamari/RO, along a line with: high forest, low forest, plows, dry tailing and
humid tailing, in each situation were collected 5 samples, that they served as repetition, in a total of
25 samples. In the collected samples physical and chemical analyses were accomplished. The
obtained results allowed concluding that the process of tin extraction promoted significant
alterations in the properties studied soils. Parameters such organic matter, P, soil and particle’s
density and the resistance the penetration was the most altered by the process of suppression of the
original vegetation and tin extraction.
