Resumo:
This work was developed to find a flow rate-pressure relationship of emitters operating
at low pressure. Hydraulic characterization of low pressure system was necessary to smallholders
using. So, tests were conducted at the Hydraulic Laboratory, Engineering Department in the
“Universidade Federal de Lavras”, Minas Gerais – Brazil. The system was composed by one reservoir
with water level at 3 meters high, 60 emitters in a dripline (model Hydrogol) and accessories. Flow
rate was obtained step by step and the temperature was measured during the water evaluations, which
tested pressures were between 3.90 and 34.92 kPa. The manufacturer variation coefficient (CVf)
ranged between 1.98 and 4.10 %. The flow rate-pressure relationship was q = 0.08636.h0.5052 and its
R2 = 0.9968, where “q” is the flow rate in L h-1 and “h” is the pressure in kPa.
