Resumen:
In order to estimate the crop coefficient (Kc) for bell pepper culture (Capsicum
annuum. L) in the direct (DS) and conventional (CS) system of seeding, it was development this work
in the experimental area of SIPA (Integrated System of agroecological production), localized in
Seropedica municipality, Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil. The area was irrigated by an sprinkler system
irrigation by aspersion and its water soil management was made by the methodology of TDR. The
reference evapotranspiration was obtained by Penman-Monteith FAO-56'S method and the crop
evapotranspiration was obtained starting from the water soil balance. The values of Kc, obtained by
different methodologies, were compared with the values obtained after plotting and visualization of
the phases of development of the culture. The values of Kc were of 0.32, 1.18 and 0.77, for CS, and of
0.34, 1.05 and 0.86, for DS, considering the phases initial, average and final, respectively.
