Résumé:
The conditions of melon cultivation constitute one of the factors of high importance for
the obtaining of quality fruits. The objective of this work was evaluating the development and
production of the hybrid melon “F1 Jangada” in conditions of green house in the hydroponic system,
using as substrata sand very fine, sand fine and coconut fiber, in beds excavator in the soil of
dimensions 0,2 m x 0,25 m and 0,6 m x 0,25 m. Was utilize for the application of the nutritious
solution the irrigation drip system. The experiment was developed in the period of March to April of
2005, in the Hort-Mudas, of the company Xavier & Baliza Ltda, located in the farmer Formiga, city
Anápolis-GO, located to 16º 19' 36" south and 48º 57' 10" west and altitude of 1017 m. The types of
beds and the substrata types used didn’t interfere of the studied variables (diameter of the stem,
thickness of the pulp, thickness of the peel, weight of the fruit, height of the fruit, diameter of the fruit
and index of format of the fruit), although the fruits produced in coconut fiber present characteristics
slightly high.
