Abstract

Sugarcane yield is affect for the tillering of each variety, it’s an important variable because it may be used to determine cane yield potential. Then was installed an experiment in the CECA ( Agriculture science centre ) in Alagoas Federal University to evaluate the effects from soil water and air temperature, by water balance and degree-days, under cane tillering of 4 varieties sugarcane: RB92579, RB931530, RB93509 e SP79-1011. The variety RB92579 obtained the better yield due to its tillering was high during all crop and the good water soil conditions and high air temperature.
