Resumen:
The present work had as objective determines the reference evapotranspiration in
the region of Canindé do São Francisco – SE, in the period of 26 of august of 2005 the 26 of
january of 2006 through the use of meteorological information obtained in the automatic, located
in the city Canindé do São Francisco – SE, through the method of Penman-Montheith,
considered standard and recommended by FAO. Also she proceeded to the evaluation and
calibration of indirect methods (Penman 63, Corrected FAO-Penman, FAO-radiation, FAO Blaney-Criddle and Hargreaves and Samani), for determination of the evapotranspirometrical
demand, when it is not had the measurement of all the meteorological variables involved in the
standard method. The minimum value of the estimate of the evapotranspiration demand for the
method of Penman-Montheith was of 1,5 mm and the maximum was of 5,3 mm. The method of
Penman - 63 were considered the best method of estimate of ETo when compared with the
method standard.
