Abstract

That work presents the equation and curves of pressure differential versus flow rate tests accomplished in gate valve with reference diameter of l”, 1¼”, 1½”, 2” and 2½” with the objective of quantifying the pressure differential caused by the same under different opening degrees, for different operation flow rates, reaching values from 7.60 to 12.30 mca, for all reference diameters. Observed elevated pressure differential for both last returns of valves command. The equation everage represent significantly the fitting equations for each one of ten rehearsed samples, to level of 5% of probabilty.
