Resumo:
For small watersheds, where series of measured discharges usually do not exist, the
estimate of the design flood flow can be made by using the results of the intense rainfalls analysis for
the region. One of the important elements of this analysis is the definition of the intense rainfalls
temporal distributions patterns that can be used as references to the development of the storm design
hyetograph. Considering that such patterns are not available for Cascavel, PR, the objective of this
study was to determine the intense rainfalls time distribution patterns, following the Chicago method.
