Efeito de diferentes dosagens de hidroabsorvente e turnos de rega no desenvolvimento inicial do café arábica.

Abstract

The goal of this research was to study the influence of waterabsorbent in the seedlings substrate with different irrigation timings to the initial growing of coffee tree. The work was carried out in a greenhouse at CCA-UFES (Alegre-ES). Coffea arabica variety Bourbon was the choosen one and it was produced in 100 mL recipients with commercial substrate. When the plants were transplanted a experimental completely randomized design was set in a fatorial 4 x 4, waterabsorbent in four amounts (0; 3,0; 6,0 and 9,0 grams per recipient) and irrigation timings in four dates (7, 14, 21 and 28 days), with 3 replications. The evaluated parameters were: plant high, foliar area and dry matter in the canopy and radicular system 90 days after transplanting. It was observed that irrigation timing of 7 days and doses of 6 and 9 grams are more adequate to the initial coffee-trees growing.
