Resumen:
In the traditional areas and, especially, in the areas of expansion of the
sugar cane crop in Brazil, the manuring constitutes fundamental practice for the reach of
larger productivities; thus, the appropriate use of the fertilizers becomes an
indispensable practice for obtaining profitable productions. The objective of this
research was to determine the effect of different fertilizers on the technological
parameters of the first sugarcane leaf (Saccharum officinarum L) variety SP-791011,
irrigated in the coastal lands of Paraíba state, Brazil. The research was developed in the
Capim farm, belonging to the Distillery Miriri, in the municipality of Capim, Paraíba
state. The experiment was entirely randomized. The tested topdressing fertilizers were
SC01 (630 kg ha-1), 12-00-24 (400 kg ha-1) and urea (200 kg ha-1), applied in a single
dose and parceled out in two doses, with and without organic manuring (600 kg ha-1).
The following variables were analyzed: soluble solids (°Brix); sucrose content (Pol of
the broth in %); fiber content (%); purity of the broth (%); and percentage of gross sugar (PCC). In agreement with the variance analysis the fertilizers didn't cause significant
difference for none of the analyzed variables.
