Abstract:
One of important aspect in the irrigated agriculture is the knowledge of the amount of
water requested by the cultures for the satisfactory development of the plants. Several works have
been showing the importance of the irrigation as mechanism of supplying possible hydrics deficiencies
during the culture physiological cycle, showing that the effects of hydrics deficits change with the
development step. When the plants are more sensitive the dynamics of availability of the soil is called
critical period. In this fact, the work was to evaluate different applied sheets of water as supplemental
irrigation in the cycle of the corn “safrinha” under direct planting, it influence in the physiology,
productivity and economical viability. The results was: the increment of the applied sheets turned
lineal answers in the physiology of the plant; the supplemental irrigation went essential to increase the
productivity of the corn “safrinha”; and the largest productivity for the corn “safrinha” didn't become
larger net income.
