Resumo:
A new T-type multilevel converter with split-inductors is proposed. It consists of replacing
the traditional converter leg with the dual-buck structure, coupled with two split-inductors,
which will limit the current variation, offering protection from current peaks during
switching transients. An analysis of switching transients and the relationship between the
existence of split-inductors and efficiency was carried out. Several comparisons between
the use of high and low split-inductances were presented, as well as simulation results and
experimental data to validate the proposed approach.
