Resumen:
Youth and Adult Education (EJA) is an educational modality that aims to offer learning
opportunities to individuals who did not complete basic education at the conventional age.
This final course work (TCC), whose title is: “From knowledge of experience to digital tools:
Challenges and opportunities with technology for the education of youth and adults”, focuses
on the perception and analysis of the opportunities and challenges of integrating technologies
in EJA. The research was conducted in a municipal school located in São João do Rio do
Peixe, Paraíba, and has as its general objective to analyze how the integration of technologies
in EJA can provide educational opportunities in learning and contribute to overcoming the
challenges of digital illiteracy, and as specific objectives to identify the educational
opportunities provided by the use of technology in EJA; Point out the challenges of digital
illiteracy for EJA students; Describe the teacher's perception of digital illiteracy in EJA and
Perceive the contribution to comprehensive opportunities from the use of digital technologies.
The theoretical references that will support the research will be the History of EJA and
Technologies in education. The research methodology is qualitative and aims to be descriptive
analytical character, the type of field research and document analysis. In the data collection
instrument, we use a questionnaire with teachers and a semi – structured interview with
students. The document analyzed was the Political Pedagogical Project (PPP) of the school in
the selected city. The research results point out challenges regarding the integration of
technologies in education, through lack of familiarity and technological spaces. The subjects
understand the inclusion of technologies as a tool that can contribute to educational
opportunities. Therefore, we conclude that this work is of great relevance to the Brazilian
educational system, contributing to the development of a critical look at education and public
policies.
