Resumo:
This research has like a theme the teacher illness on the Brazilian neoliberalism
context and like main question of study, the following: how does the neoliberal
performativity produces the teacher illness? Their main goals are: point out the
performativity actions that produce teacher illness; identify the symptoms of the
teacher illness on the teacher subject. The theoretical frameworks that that support
this investigation are the concepts Performativity (Ball, 2005) and Neoliberalism
(Dardot; Laval 2016), (Focault, 2008). Regarding the methodology, the research has
a basic nature, typified as a qualitative, bibliographical, of a descriptive nature. Data
sources consist of undergraduate dissertations (TCC) within a time frame from 2020
to 2023, developed and presented in Pedagogy courses. To data analyze its used
Discourse Analyses, from the perspective of Michel Foucault (Fischer, 2001). The
results on the research shows that performativity produces teacher illness, leading to
psychosocial disorders, anxiety, depression, high stress levels, musculoskeletal and
cardiovascular issues, voice disorders, Burnout Syndrome, and, consequently, partial
or total withdrawal from the profession. Total withdrawal from work and
medicalization will never be a definitive solution, there is no point in treating the
problem if you continue to remain in the environment and practices that made you
sick.
