Resumen:
This study investigates the evolution of energy consumption in the context of increased use of air conditioning and adoption of electric vehicles in Brazil, driven by climate change and technological advances. The research used data science methods to analyze data on electricity generation and demand in extreme scenarios, such as the universal use of air conditioning in homes and the complete conversion of the vehicle fleet to electric. Demand calculations were performed for each scenario using real data and some data stipulated as average values. The results indicate a significant increase in energy demand, highlighting the importance of improving existing infrastructure and the requirement for robust policies for energy efficiency and expansion of renewable sources.
