Abstract

An Information System is able to organize the information within a business as a way of providing support for the intelligent decision making of the business itself, simplifying the entire structure of the business which makes evident the use of this tool for control and information provision. The present work aims to develop a Database System capable of storing and obtaining information about the product stock of a company located in the city of Sumé, state of Paraíba. The Inventory Management System (SIGEST) was analyzed using Unified Modeling Language (UML) and was developed through Microsoft Office Access based on tables, queries and reports related to materials, suppliers and customers. Then, an Usability Test was performed to the system to understand positives aspects and usage deficiency. The system showed itself as effective in handling and knowledge of data, as well as contributing to the success of the organization.
